Welcome to the School Counseling Webpage! My name is Grace Curnow and I designed this page to provide you with information about the school counseling program at Burgess Elementary including upcoming counseling-related activities, types of services offered, and resources for parents.
The elementary school years set the tone for developing the skills and attitudes necessary to become confident learners. Students are beginning to develop decision-making, communication and life skills, as well as emotional intelligence. The Burgess school counselor works as a team with school staff, parents, and community resources to provide prevention, early identification, and intervention to help all students achieve academic success.
How does a student meet with the school counselor?
Parents/guardians may request that their child see the counselor. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with a request.
A staff member may refer a student to talk to the counselor.
Your child may ask to speak to the counselor.
